001 Free pokies online

136 machines across 27 art families. Every one publishes the rate it returns, keeps a full spin history, and runs on play credit you top up yourself. No money in, no money out.

Play credit only. Nothing to pay, nothing to pay out.

002 Six things we show

Most machines ask you to take their word for it. Ours print the rate, the seed fingerprint and the running balance where you can read them.

Every machine shows the rate it is set to return, right there on the machine. No hunting through fine print to find the pokie machine return rate.

The engine walks every reel position on every payline, so a machine set to a rate really returns it over time and the paytable you read is the paytable it uses.

Reel stops come from an HMAC chain over a secret server seed. The seed fingerprint sits on every spin, so a seed swapped mid session would stop matching.

Bet, result and win go to the ledger before the reels stop. Read every movement back with the balance after it, plus what each machine has paid you.

Mini, Minor, Major and Grand. A slice of every qualifying bet goes in, and when one hits it pays in full to the meter, drops to its seed and starts again.

You put the credit on the meter yourself and take it off again. Nothing is bought, nothing is paid out, and no payment details are asked for.

003 Credit, machine, ledger

There is no sign-up wall and no download. Put credit on the meter, pick a machine, then read back exactly what it did.

One. Put credit on the meter. Open Credit and history, add a set amount or type your own, and the meter is live. Take it off again whenever you like.

Two. Pick a machine. Three or five reels, three or four rows, and five to thirty paylines depending on the machine. Choose your lines and stake per line, or press max bet and go.

Three. Read the ledger. Every spin, bet and win is written before the result is shown, with the machine and the spin number, so any result can be checked later.

Sound is built in the browser as you play: reel clicks, reel thuds, win runs, coin cascades, a jackpot siren and a music loop for each family. There are no audio files, and nothing makes a sound until you turn it on.

A machine fits one screen on a phone, a tablet and a desktop. Marquee, reels, meters and the bet panel sit together with no scrolling, so the game plays the same in your hand as it does on a monitor.

Play credit is not money. It cannot be bought and it cannot be paid out. Visitors from overseas search for free slots; here they are pokies, they cost nothing, and the books stay open.

004 Six of twenty seven

Twenty seven art families sit on the floor. These six are the easiest places to start, and each one opens straight onto the machines.
